Terms of Service

Splentra: Split Bills · Perfevo LLC

Effective date: October 6, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Splentra mobile app and the website at splentra.app (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Perfevo LLC (“Perfevo”, “we”, “us”), a Wyoming (USA) limited liability company.

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live.

1. What Splentra is — and what it is not

Splentra helps groups of people keep track of shared expenses. You can create groups, add expenses, split them between members, see who owes whom, and record settlements.

  • Splentra does not move money. When you “settle up”, you are recording a payment that happened somewhere else, for example cash or a bank transfer. We do not process, hold, send or guarantee any payment, and we do not collect debts.
  • Splentra is not financial, tax, legal or accounting advice. Balances and summaries are tools to help you keep track. They are not official records.

2. Who can use Splentra

Splentra is for adults aged 18 or older. You may not create or use an account if you are under 18.

  • When you create an account, the app asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older.
  • If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close the account and delete it where we can.
  • If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

3. Your account

  • You need an account to use Splentra. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Sign in with Apple or Google.
  • Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Give accurate information, and keep it up to date.
  • Tell us at hello@splentra.app if you think your account has been compromised.

4. Groups and shared information

  • Groups are shared spaces. Everything added to a group, including expenses, amounts, notes, payments, receipt attachments, member names and activity, is visible to the other members of that group.
  • Only the group owner can create invitations. Invitations are shared by link or QR code and expire after a limited time. Anyone who has a valid invitation link can use it to join, so share invitations only with people you intend to invite.
  • Only add information about other people that you are entitled to share, and respect their privacy.
  • Group records are shared. If you leave a group or delete your account, expenses and payments you were part of stay in the group so that the other members’ balances remain correct (see section 13).

5. Accuracy of calculations and exchange rates

  • Splentra calculates splits and balances from the information that members enter. The results are only as accurate as those entries. Please review amounts before you rely on them or make payments. Small rounding differences can occur.
  • For expenses in a foreign currency, Splentra uses an exchange rate for the expense date obtained from a third-party provider. Rates are provided for information only. They may differ from the rate your bank or card provider applies, and they may occasionally be unavailable or delayed.
  • Imported data (for example, from another expense app or a CSV file) is created from the file you provide. Rows that cannot be read may be left out. Check imported groups for completeness.

6. Your content

  • “Your content” means the information and files you add, such as expense details, notes and receipt images or PDFs.
  • You keep ownership of your content. You grant Perfevo a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, copy and display your content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service. This includes showing it to members of the groups you add it to. The licence ends when your content is deleted, except for content that remains in shared group records as described in section 13, and for copies kept in backups for a limited period or as required by law.
  • You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the right to add it and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights.
  • How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Rules for using Splentra

You must not use Splentra to create, add or share:

  • illegal content, including child sexual abuse material or anything that sexually exploits children, terrorism content, threats, harassment, content that is a hate offence, fraud, or intimate images shared without the consent of the person shown;
  • content that breaks these rules, including abusive content and content that infringes other people’s rights, such as their privacy or intellectual property.

You also agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive;
  • harass, threaten or abuse other people;
  • upload malware or try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts;
  • scrape, copy or reverse-engineer the Service except where the law allows it;
  • create accounts through automated means, or impersonate someone else.

8. Illegal content, reports and what we do

How we protect users

  • Splentra is a private service: content can only be seen by members of the group it was added to. We do not monitor groups proactively and we do not scan or moderate content automatically.
  • A person reviews every report. We take down illegal content swiftly once we are aware of it. Reports of terrorism content and of child sexual abuse or exploitation are our top priority.
  • You can block other users in the app.

How to report

Anyone can report content, with or without an account. You can:

Please explain why you think the content is illegal or breaks these Terms, and where you saw it. We confirm that we received your report, and we tell you what we decided. We do not tell the person you report who reported them.

What we may do

We act diligently, objectively and proportionately, with regard to everyone’s rights, including freedom of expression and privacy. If content is illegal or breaks these Terms, we may:

  • remove the content or restrict access to it;
  • warn the user who added it;
  • restrict or close the account of anyone who breaks these Terms repeatedly or seriously.

If we suspect child sexual abuse material or a credible threat, we immediately restrict access to the content and the account, preserve the evidence, and report it as the law requires — including to law enforcement, and threats to life to the police.

When we remove or restrict your content or restrict or close your account, we tell you what we did, the facts and the rule or law it is based on, and how to appeal — unless doing so would put someone at risk or harm an investigation.

9. Complaints and appeals

You can complain about content, about a decision we made (such as removing content or restricting or closing an account), about a report we did not act on, or that we are not meeting our online safety duties. If we removed your content or restricted or closed your account, you can appeal, and we look at the decision again, afresh, against these Terms. See Complaints and appeals for how to do this and how long it usually takes. You can also go to court or contact the authorities where you live.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Apple and Google (app distribution, sign-in and payments), infrastructure providers, and an exchange-rate data provider. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

11. Splentra Plus

Splentra Plus is an optional paid subscription. If you buy it:

  • You buy it through the App Store or Google Play, which sell and bill it under their own terms. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy.
  • The subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
  • Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their refund rules and the law that applies to you.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Billing continues until you cancel it in the store, so cancel it first to stop future charges.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits any right of withdrawal, cancellation or refund, or any other mandatory consumer right, that you have under the law where you live.

12. Deleting your account

  • You can delete your account at any time in the app’s settings. See how account deletion works.
  • If you still owe money to other members in a group, you need to settle those balances before you can delete your account.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought through the App Store or Google Play.

13. Shared records after you leave

When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal profile. Your name is shown to other members as “Deleted User”, and your email address, phone number and profile photo are removed. Expenses and payments you shared with others remain in their groups so their records stay accurate. More detail is in the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

  • We may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep the Service available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top always shows the current version. We change them only for a valid reason, such as a change in the Service, the law, or security needs.
  • Before a material change takes effect, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or in the app and tell you what is changing. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account before the change applies to you. Where the law requires your agreement to a change, we will ask for it rather than treat silence as agreement.
  • Changes needed to comply with the law or to protect security, and changes that do not affect you adversely, may take effect sooner.

15. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and the Splentra name and logo, belongs to Perfevo or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own use. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.

16. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that calculations, exchange rates or imported data will be complete or error-free, or that the Service will always be available. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded or limited.

17. Our liability

To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you:

  • Perfevo is not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential losses, arising from your use of the Service.
  • Perfevo is not responsible for payments or debts between users, or for decisions made based on balances shown in the app.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you.

18. Governing law and disputes

  • Please contact us first at hello@splentra.app so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
  • If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts where you live, or anywhere else the law allows you to. Nothing in these Terms requires you to use arbitration or prevents you from taking part in a class or representative action.

19. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded Splentra from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) also applies, together with these Terms. In addition:

  • These Terms are between you and Perfevo, not Apple. Perfevo, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your licence to use the app is non-transferable and limited to Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Other accounts linked to you through Family Sharing may also use it.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Perfevo, not Apple, is responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app does not meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
  • Perfevo, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending and settling any claim that the app infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must comply with applicable third-party terms, such as your mobile carrier’s terms, when you use the app.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

If you downloaded Splentra from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply to your download and to any purchases.

20. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and without reducing your rights. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the store terms in section 19, are the entire agreement between you and Perfevo about the Service.
