Privacy Policy

Splentra: Split Bills · Perfevo LLC

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains how Perfevo LLC (“Perfevo”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use the Splentra mobile app for iPhone and Android, the services behind the app, and the website at splentra.app (together, “Splentra”). It applies in every country where Splentra is offered; section 15 adds a few points for specific countries.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Perfevo LLC, a Wyoming (USA) limited liability company, is responsible for your personal information (the “controller”).

  • Address: 2106 House Ave, Suite 140, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA
  • Privacy contact: the Splentra privacy team at hello@splentra.app. This is also the contact for our data protection officer, privacy officer or encarregado where a law requires one.

2. The short version

  • Splentra helps groups record shared expenses and see who owes whom. To do that, we store your account details and the expenses you and your group members record.
  • The people in your groups see your name, your profile photo if you add one, and the expenses and payments recorded in those groups.
  • Product analytics are off unless you turn them on in the app. We do not sell your personal information and we do not show ads. The website uses no analytics and no cookies.
  • Splentra is only for adults aged 18 or older.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details. You sign up with an email address and password, or with Google or Apple. We store your email address, your first and last name, and, if you add them, a phone number and a profile photo. A 6-digit code we email you only confirms your address when you sign up, reset your password or change your email — it is never used to sign in.
  • Age confirmation. That you confirmed you are 18 or older, and when. See section 10.
  • Preferences. Default currency, time zone, date format and app language, and whether you chose to receive a newsletter (off unless you turn it on; you can change it in your profile). We do not currently send a newsletter.
  • Groups and expenses. Group names and group photos; who is in each group; expense titles, amounts, currencies, dates, categories and notes; who paid and how the cost was split; payments between members; recurring expense schedules.
  • Receipts. Photos or PDFs you attach to expenses. A receipt can incidentally show sensitive information (for example a pharmacy purchase). We do not analyse receipt contents or use them to infer anything about you; they are only stored and shown to your group.
  • Invites. When a group owner invites someone, we create an invite link or QR code with a random code. We record who created it, how it was shared, its status and its expiry (7 days).
  • Blocks. A record of users you have blocked.
  • Imports. If you import a file exported from another expense app, the app reads it on your device. We receive only the expenses you choose to import.
  • Reports, complaints and support messages. What you send us by email, through the app’s Report action or through our report form (see section 7).

Information other people give us about you

Group members can add information about you: your name when they add an expense or payment involving you, the amounts you paid or owe, and notes or receipts that mention you. This information is visible to the members of that group. If you think information about you is wrong or should not be there, contact us.

Information collected automatically

  • Product analytics (PostHog) — only if you opt in. Analytics are off by default. If you turn them on, the app sends product-usage events (for example “group created” or “expense created”, and screen views) to PostHog’s servers in the EU, linked to your account. Events are designed not to include free text, email addresses, amounts or names. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Usage analytics.
  • Crash reports (Sentry). If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a minimised technical report to Sentry’s servers in the EU: for example the error and where in the app it happened, the last few app navigation steps, the app and operating system version, and the device model. Reports contain no user ID, name or email address, no screenshots and no session recordings, and the app removes credentials and invite codes before sending. A report may be kept briefly on your device until it can be sent.
  • Service and security data. Our servers process your IP address and request details to deliver the service and to limit abusive request rates.

Information from others

  • Google or Apple, if you use them to sign in: your email address and, where provided, your name.
  • App stores and RevenueCat, if you buy a subscription: your subscription status. We do not receive your payment card details; Apple or Google processes the payment.
  • App stores, for age. See section 10.

Information that stays on your device

  • Camera. Used only to scan QR codes and photograph receipts. The app does not use the microphone.
  • App lock. Biometric checks are done by your device’s operating system. We never receive biometric data.
  • Exports. CSV and PDF exports are created on your device and shared through your device’s share menu.

Splentra does not use advertising identifiers and does not show ads.

4. Why we use information, and our legal bases

Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we rely on these legal bases. Other countries’ laws have similar rules, and the same purposes apply everywhere.

Using an app store’s age signal where it is providedAdult / not-adult result onlyLegitimate interests — keeping Splentra adults-only and meeting app-store age rules

Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object (see section 11). We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Who can see or receive your information

  • Your group members see your name and profile photo, and the expenses, payments and activity involving you in groups you share.
  • People with an invite link can see, before joining, the group’s name and photo and the inviter’s name and profile photo.
  • Apple and Google handle sign-in (if you choose it) and subscription payments as independent companies under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal reasons. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety — for example, when we report illegal content as described in our Terms.
  • Service providers that process data for us, only on our instructions:
ProviderWhat forInformationWhere
SupabaseDatabase, sign-in, sign-in emails and file storageAccount, profile, group, expense, receipt and invite dataUnited States
RevenueCatSubscription statusAccount identifier, subscription and purchase statusUnited States

CloudflareHosting the splentra.app website; encrypted backupsWebsite request data; encrypted database backupsGlobal network
Google (Google Workspace)Our email inboxEmails you send us and our repliesGoogle’s global infrastructure

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

6. International transfers

Splentra is run by a US company, and the providers above process information in the countries shown, which may be outside your own — mainly the United States and the European Union. We send them only what they need for the purposes above, over encrypted connections, as you use the app.

7. Reports and complaints

  • A report from the app contains your own description and reference numbers for the expense, payment, group or invitation — not a copy of the content, and never the invite code. Like a report from our website or by email, it arrives as an email, so it includes your email address.
  • Reports, complaints and appeals are handled by Splentra (Perfevo LLC).
  • We do not tell the person you report who reported them.
  • We keep case records until the case is closed plus 12 months, then delete or irreversibly anonymise them. We keep them longer only for an active appeal, a legal hold, litigation, a regulatory or law-enforcement requirement, or a legal duty to preserve or report.

How to report or complain: report form · complaints and appeals.

8. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in section 4, subject to these specific rules:

  • Your account and profile: while your account exists. When you delete it, we delete or anonymise them as described in section 9.
  • Shared expenses and payments: while the group exists for its other members, shown as “Deleted User” after you delete your account.
  • Backups: encrypted daily backups are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. Information from a deleted account may remain in backups until they expire.
  • Reports and complaints: until the case is closed plus 12 months (see section 7).
  • Transaction records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Analytics (if you opted in): until you withdraw consent or delete your account, and no longer than the provider’s retention period.

9. Deleting your account

  • Your sign-in account is deleted.
  • Your profile is anonymised: your name becomes “Deleted User”, your email address is replaced, and your phone number, profile photo and newsletter choice are removed.
  • Groups you own pass to the member who joined earliest. A group with no other members is archived, not deleted.
  • You leave all groups. Invites you sent that are still pending are cancelled, and your repeating expenses stop.
  • Expenses, payments and settlements you took part in stay in shared groups, so that the remaining members’ records stay accurate. They are shown as “Deleted User”.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play.

You can delete your account in the app. See how account deletion works, including what to do if you can’t use the app.

10. Age

Splentra is only for adults aged 18 or older. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. When you sign up, the app asks whether you are 18 or older; if you answer that you are under 18, or we learn that you are, the account is closed. We store only your confirmation that you are 18 or older and its date. We never ask for your date of birth or an ID document, and we do not use selfies, face scans or age estimation.

In some places the law requires app stores to provide age information. Where Apple or Google provides an age-related signal for your account, Splentra uses only the result — whether you are an adult — to decide whether you can use Splentra. We do not receive your date of birth, and we do not store the age range.

If you believe someone under 18 is using Splentra, contact us at hello@splentra.app.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access your personal information and get a copy of it;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • restrict or object to how we use it, including where we rely on legitimate interests;
  • receive a portable copy of it;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before.

You can edit your profile and export group data in the app. To make a request, email hello@splentra.app. We may need to confirm your identity first. We respond without undue delay and within one month, or within any shorter period the law that applies to you requires. Where the law allows, we may extend this period — for example for complex requests — and we will tell you why.

You can also complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EU, the authority in the country where you live.

California and other US states

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined under California and other US state privacy laws. Because neither the website nor the app tracks you across other websites or apps, we do not respond to Do Not Track signals differently — there is no such tracking to switch off.

12. Security

  • Expenses, payments and receipts can be seen only by members of their group. Profile and group photos can be opened by anyone who has their web address.
  • Sign-in sessions on phones are stored encrypted on the device.
  • Receipts are kept in non-public storage and are shown only through time-limited links.
  • Information travels over encrypted connections, and backups are encrypted.

No system is completely secure.

13. The website

splentra.app does not use cookies, analytics or advertising, and it loads no third-party scripts. If you choose Light or Dark mode, your browser remembers that choice in local storage, on your device only. Choosing “System” removes it.

Invite links are read by your browser on the page and are not stored by the website. Our report form does not send anything by itself: it prepares an email in your own email app, and nothing reaches us unless you send it. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical request data, such as IP addresses, in order to deliver the site.

14. Where Splentra is available

16. Changes to this policy
