Delete your Splentra account
This page explains how to delete your account in Splentra: Split Bills, the app by Perfevo LLC, and what happens to your data.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Splentra and go to Settings.
- Under Danger Zone, tap Delete Account.
- Read the information, confirm that you understand, and confirm the deletion.
Before you start
- Settle up first. You can’t delete your account while you still owe money in a group. Record those payments, then try again.
- If you signed in with Apple, you’ll be asked to confirm with Apple during deletion.
- Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel it there.
Can’t use the app?
Email hello@splentra.app from the email address of your Splentra account, and we’ll help you.
What happens to your data
- Your sign-in account is deleted.
- Your profile is anonymised: your name becomes “Deleted User”, your email address is replaced and your phone number is removed.
- Your profile photo is deleted.
- Groups you own pass to the member who joined them earliest. A group with no other members is archived.
- You leave all your groups. Pending invites you sent are cancelled, all blocks involving you are removed, and repeating expenses you created stop.
- Expenses and payments in groups you shared with others stay in those groups, so the other members’ balances remain correct.
- Our encrypted backups are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically, so information from your account may remain in a backup for up to 30 days after deletion.
